4. Reserve Your Date
Ready to move forward? A $300 non-refundable retainer reserves your wedding date and allows us to begin finalizing your floral plans.
5. Customize Your Flowers
Your plans can evolve! Make changes to your flowers, quantities, and details up until three weeks before your wedding.

This budget can often include personal flowers, a few ceremony pieces, and budget-friendly reception flowers such as bud vases, greenery, or smaller centerpieces. A typical Signature wedding might include a bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages, an arch or altar arrangement, and reception flowers such as bud vases, greenery, or centerpieces. You don't need everything shown on this page! Do you have a minimum for wedding flowers?
No! Lafayette Florist does not have a minimum floral purchase for weddings. Our Signature Collection represents our most popular wedding size, but we'll work with you based on the flowers you actually need. If you only need a bridal bouquet and coordinating boutonniere, our Elopement Collection may be a better fit.
How much do wedding flower delivery and set-up cost?
Delivery and set-up are customized for each wedding rather than charged as one flat fee. Delivery pricing is based on your venue's location and mileage from our shop. Set-up is based on the number of staff members required and the amount of time needed, charged per person, per hour.
A wedding that simply needs flowers dropped off will have different service costs than a wedding requiring several team members to place centerpieces, ceremony arrangements, arch flowers, and other décor. Your delivery and set-up costs will be clearly included in your personalized proposal.
Do I have to use wedding delivery and set-up?
No. Depending on your wedding and venue, you can pick up your flowers at our shop, choose delivery to your venue, or select professional delivery and set-up. We'll help you determine which option makes the most sense for the flowers you've selected.
How can I save money on wedding flowers?
Prioritize the flowers that will make the biggest impact and be photographed the most. Many couples invest in their bridal bouquet and one beautiful ceremony focal point, then choose budget-friendly reception flowers such as bud vases, loose greenery, or DIY flower options. Do you offer DIY wedding flowers and bud vase packages?
Yes! DIY flowers are a great option for couples who want beautiful flowers while keeping reception costs manageable. We offer options such as DIY bud vase packages and loose greenery, along with professionally designed bud vase arrangements. Ask us which option would work best for your reception tables and budget.
Can I reuse my ceremony flowers at the reception?
Sometimes. Certain altar arrangements, ground pieces, and other ceremony flowers can be designed so they work beautifully in another location at your reception. Whether flowers can be repurposed depends on the design, venue, timing, and who will be available to move them. Let us know you'd like to repurpose your flowers when we're creating your proposal and we'll recommend options that may work in multiple locations.
Can I request specific flowers for my wedding?
Absolutely. Tell us about any flowers you love when you complete your wedding questionnaire. Specific varieties depend on season, availability, and budget, so we recommend being open to substitutions when necessary. If a particular flower isn't available, we'll suggest alternatives with a similar color, texture, or overall look.
Do I need to know exactly what wedding flowers I want before contacting you?
Not at all! That's what we're here for. Start with your color palette, approximate budget, venue, and a few inspiration photos or a Pinterest board. We'll help you determine which flowers and designs will work best for your style, season, and budget.
How far in advance should I book my wedding florist?
We recommend beginning the wedding flower planning process approximately 4–6 months before your wedding. You're always welcome to start earlier, especially for popular wedding dates. Once you're ready to move forward, a $300 non-refundable retainer reserves your wedding date.
Can I change my wedding flowers after I book?
Yes. Wedding plans evolve, and your floral proposal can too. You can make changes to your flower selections, quantities, colors, and other details throughout the planning process. Final changes are due three weeks before your wedding.
Where does Lafayette Florist deliver wedding flowers?
We provide wedding flower delivery throughout many communities in the north Denver and Boulder County area, including Erie, Lafayette, Louisville, Broomfield, Boulder, Longmont, Frederick, and surrounding areas. Delivery availability depends on your venue location and wedding requirements, so please contact us if you're unsure whether we can deliver to your venue. Pick-up may also be available for weddings outside our regular delivery area.

Start by completing our online or printable Wedding Flower Questionnaire and sending us your inspiration photos. We'll use your wedding date, venue, floral needs, style, color palette, and budget to create a complimentary personalized proposal. You'll then have the opportunity to meet with our wedding consultant over Zoom to review your proposal and make adjustments.
